About Us

Alhamdulillah, We feel proud to mention that our Valak Halai Memon Jamat, Mumbai, was amongst the first few to initiate the ladies' committee in 1991, under the guidance of our former President Mr. Haroonbhai Mozawala.

Mrs. Gulbanubai H.A. Dhanani was selected unanimously unopposed as the President of the ladies' committee. Since then, till date, ie. 24 years MashaAllah, she has continued to retain this honour.

Alhamdulillah, our Jamat was also the first amongst all Halai Memon Jamats to have built an apartment at Kausa, Mumbra in 2006- for our less fortunate Jamat members. We started a Madrassa, a nursery and vocational classes there , at VHMJ Apartments.

In 2009 , Ladies and Gents committee members conducted meetings in 6 different areas of Bombay. The aim was to create awareness about the importance of education among our Jamat members.

Donors & well wishers of our Jamat members along with their better half were invited for dinner cum get together at jabir hall - ispam gymkhana where a detailed report of our Jamat activities & future programmes were presented on PowerPoint.
